Why I started blogging!

If you are reading this it is probably because you want to know why I decided to start blogging, and if I am being honest I’m not really sure I even know the answer to that question. This blog isn't a part of me fulfilling some dream I had had since I was a kid. It isn’t even something I really considered doing till a couple of months ago. So to really understand why I decided to start blogging I guess we need to start where my love of fashion began.

As a kid I always really loved clothes and I had a taste for name brands almost instantly. My mom blamed it on me being spoiled when I was younger but I like to think it was because I just had good taste. However; I really didn’t find my passion for it until I was in college. During my freshman year, I decided to join a sorority, but when you join an organization with 50+ girls in it. It is hard to find a way to stand out, and I was no exception.

I started using my sense of style to make a statement and stand out, but I still had not given much thought to blogging or doing anything with my Instagram. After being in my sorority for a little over a month I got my amazing Big Jada! Over the past few years, she has become one of my very best friends, and we have bonded over many things. From our love of llamas to our love of fashion. She even encouraged me to follow in her footsteps and become the Public Relations Vice President for my sorority.

It was through my experience as PRVP that I really found my love for creating social media content that people enjoyed. I loved being able to be creative in the content that I posted and sharing the things I created with my sisters. After my time as PRVP was over, I found myself missing working on the social media account. Even though I was still regularly posting on my personal instagram account it still wasn't the same.

It was around that time that Jada started up her blog again. P.s. if you haven’t checked out her blog Just Gingerly (https://www.justgingerly.com) you definitely should go check it out because she posts amazing content! Anyways over the last couple of months, I have watched her blog grow as she got to create some really amazing content and work with some really cool brands. When I started showing interest in what she was doing she encouraged me to start a blog of my own.

So here I am stepping out of my comfort zone and giving this blog thing a shot. I hope you will continue to follow along on this journey with me and with that being said welcome to Keeping Up with Kaylee B! I hope you enjoy it!
