What's in My Bag? - Beach bag edition

So I am spending the next couple of days relaxing at the beach, and when I was packing for this trip I keep feeling like I was missing things. I ended up repacking my beach bag four times before I felt like I had everything that I needed! I figured I wasn’t the only one who had this issue. So to help you out a bit I thought I would share with you guys everything I keep in my beach bag, for the perfect day at the beach!

Beach Towel:

Okay, so this first one is pretty obvious. Of course, you are going to need a beach towel at the beach. If you are someone like me who likes to take a lot of pictures at the beach, a cute beach towel is a must! My favorite one right now is one that I got out of my FabFitFun box last summer and it is by VIX Swimwear! It is a cute light blue lotus shape towel, and it is perfect for all the cute beach pictures. Unfortunately, they are not selling this towel anymore. So I went ahead and link some super cute beach towels on my amazon storefront, and the best part is they are all $20 and under!

Sunnies

I never go to the beach without my favorite pair of sunnies! I got my cute black Quay sunglasses in my FabFitFun box last summer and they are my favorite! I am constantly losing my sunglasses though ( I am honestly surprised I haven't lost these yet!) So if you are like me I found a couple of cute pair of sunnies on amazon that won't break the bank and will be easy to replace if you lose!

Water Bottle:

When you are out on the beach all day in the HOT sun it is super important to bring water! I used to bring my big insulated cup to the beach with one of my reusable straws #savetheturtles, but I would always somehow end up with sand in my cup or on my straw… yeah, not fun to get a mouth full of sand. However; I recently found this new insulated waterbottle by HydraPeak and I love it! It came with a 32oz insulated water bottle that will keep things cold for up to 24 hours and hot for up to 12 hours! It also came with three different types of lids as well as two reusable straws for the straw lid! The best part is … it comes in my favorite color! PINK!!!!!!

Liquid IV:

I am a person who struggles to drink enough water and stay hydrated, and being out on the beach makes it even worst. So one thing I always keep in my beach bag is a pack of liquid IV! These things are amazing! They have 2-3x more hydration than water alone, 3x the electrolytes, 5 essential vitamins (B3, B5, B6, B12, and vitamin C). Not to mention they taste amazing!!!!!! Tanning Lotion:

So I am not someone who tans very easily, and if you read my previous post about my self-tanning routine I talked about how self-tanner is my best friend. Since I don’t tan very easily I love finding products that help me get a real tan. This summer I have really been loving my browning lotion from Sun Bum! This stuff is a great price (16$) and has gotten me, way tanner, than I normally get over the summer. The only downside is that because it is a browning lotion, it does have some built-in color so I would suggest wearing darker bathing suits. Another good alternative if you are worried about staining your bathing suits is the Solid Black Millennium Tanning Products: Dark Tanning Lotion! This stuff works great and can be used outside, and in a tanning bed! However; this product is a little more on the expensive side, coming out to be about $30 on amazon.

Sunscreen:

So as much as I LOVE to be tan, I also burn pretty easily. So to keep me from turning into a lobster, I always have extra sunscreen in my beach bag! This summer I have been loving all the Sun Bum products, so it should come to no surprise that my sunscreen comes from there too! Early this summer I got the Sun Bum Daytripper pack from Ulta and it is great! It came with a 30 SPF sunscreen, a cooldown lotion, and a 30 SPF coconut flavored chapstick! I got all of that for only $20, and right now Sun Bum is buy one get one 40% off at Ulta!

A Book:

I don’t know about you but I love reading on the beach so I never go to the beach without a book to read! Currently, I am reading Into the Water by Paula Hawkins! I will be starting a book review series on my blog pretty soon where I will be posting about all the great books I have been reading! A Speaker:

No beach day is complete without a Bluetooth speaker to play your favorite toons on! The JBL Flip 4 Waterproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker is perfect for a day at the beach. This speaker is waterproof and has up to 12 hours of playing time! The only downside is that it is on the more expensive side. It runs about $80 on Amazon! If you are looking for a cheaper option I found a smaller Bluetooth speaker at Walmart that is water-resistant and is under $10!

Waterproof Phone Case

If you are anything like me, I don't go anywhere without my phone and the beach is definitely not an exception. I love having my phone on the beach play music, take cute pictures, and scroll through social media. So to play it safe I always put my phone in my Lifeproof case! I got my Lifeproof case off amazon for under $50. If you are looking for a cheaper option though you can always get the waterproof phone pouches! I found some on Amazon for under $15!

A Hat

Whether it is to keep the sun out of your face, or just a cute accessory to have for pictures I never go to the beach without a hat! My goto beach hat is my monogrammed blue jean Big/Little hat that I got from my bestie Jada! But, I found the cutest beach hat on Amazon for under $20 that I will definitely be purchasing for my next trip to the beach!

A Bag

Last but certainly not least you need a good beach bag! I got my beach bag from my FabFitFun box last summer and I absolutely love it! It is a cute navy and white canvas bag from Summer & Rose! But I went ahead and added some really cute beach bags on my amazon storefront for yall and they are all under 30$!

Beach Extras!

So these things are things that I keep in my beach bag, but I found them on amazon and they were too cute not to share! The first thing I found was a super cute Lily Pulitzer beach cooler! It is a soft canvas 10x12 inch cooler and it comes in three cute patterns, and the best part is…. They are all under $40!!!! The last cute thing that I found was a Lilly Pulitzer Water Resistant Vinyl Beach Day Pouch. It comes with a drink hugger, a large and small zip pouch, and towel clips in the pattern Shell of a Party!! Again this is another amazon steal that will only set you back $35!
